The Government has awarded private companies the concession of eight national road corridors for a period of 20 years. This decision means that the new operators will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and operation of the sections through tolls.
The resolution formalizing this measure can be found in Resolution 1379/2026 from the Ministry of Economy, published in the Official Gazette and signed by Luis Caputo, the head of the portfolio. This action is part of the second phase of the national and international public bidding under the initiative called “Federal Concessions Network – Stage III”.
The corridors included in the concession are Central, North Central, Mesopotamian, Northwest, Coastal, Northeast, Chaco-Santa Fe, and Cuyo. The winning companies will not only be able to manage and maintain the roads but also carry out expansion works, offer services to users, and develop complementary activities to generate additional income.
The Central Section was awarded to the consortium formed by AFEMA, Pablo Federico e Hijos, and Guido Mogetta, with a proposed fee of $1399 excluding VAT. The North Central Section was assigned to José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles, with an offer of $2175 excluding VAT. IEB Construcciones and Trading MRG will take charge of the Mesopotamian Section, with a fee of $3564.99 excluding VAT.
In the case of the Northwest Section, the Government chose Autovía Construcciones y Servicios, VAPEU, and Guigivan, who offered a fee of $2285 excluding VAT. The Coastal Section was awarded to JCR and Néstor Julio Guerechet, with a proposal of $2876.04 excluding VAT, while Carlos E. Enríquez and Hormi will manage the Northeast Section for an amount of $2950 excluding VAT.
The consortium including José Eleuterio Pitón, Rovial, and Obring was selected for the Chaco-Santa Fe Section, offering $3520 excluding VAT. Finally, the Cuyo Section was granted to Laugero Construcciones, Green, and Corporación del Sur, which proposed a fee of $3090.2462 excluding VAT.
This bidding process is part of the privatization of Road Corridors, which was declared subject to privatization under law 27.742, known as the Framework Law. In February 2025, it was authorized to proceed with the process through the public works concession by toll. Before making the awards, an evaluation committee analyzed the economic proposals from the companies that passed the first phase of the bidding. The selected offers met the stipulated conditions and were considered the most advantageous for the public interest.
The resolution also declared inadmissible the proposals from Lemiro Pablo Pietroboni, Merco Vial, and Frontera for the North Central and Northwest sections and dismissed several offers from INMAC, Tecnoedil, Rowing, CPC, JCR, Néstor Guerechet, Autovía Construcciones, Guigivan, and José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles for other corridors in which they had participated.
