Route 108 is a Red Movilidad bus (locally, a micro) in the system formerly called Transantiago, linking Maipú with La Florida across the south-west and south of the city. It leaves Terminal Las Acacias, passes through central Maipú and the Plaza de Maipú, continues along Av. Pedro Aguirre Cerda to Cerrillos and runs the full length of Av. Departamental before ending at Terminal María Angélica. According to DTPM’s current operating schedule (October 2026), the outbound trip is 33 km long and has 97 bus stops.

Route 108: from Maipú to La Florida

Western Maipú. The 108 starts at Terminal Las Acacias and runs along Av. El Conquistador, past the CESFAM Dr. Carlos Godoy, Avenida 4 Poniente, Presidente González Videla, René Olivares and A. Silva Carvallo. It then takes Avenida El Olimpo, crosses Nueva San Martín, Avenida Portales and Avenida Grecia, and passes the Hospital Maipú and the CRS Maipú.

Central Maipú. Via Camino a Rinconada it reaches the Templo Votivo and Plaza de Maipú station. It continues past the Estadio Santiago Bueras, Avenida 5 de Abril and Cruce La Capilla, and takes Av. Esquina Blanca, with stops at the Plaza Zaror, the Liceo Maipú and Villa Santa Adela.

Pedro Aguirre Cerda and Cerrillos. From El Mirador the route continues along Av. Pedro Aguirre Cerda, passing the Centro Cívico Cerrillos, the Comando Logístico FACH and the Museo Aeronáutico, up to Cerrillos station.

Av. Departamental. The longest stretch is along Av. Departamental, which the 108 covers from west to east: Av. General Velásquez, Av. Clotario Blest, Club Hípico, the Panamericana, Departamental station, Santa Rosa, INFOCAP, Av. Las Industrias, the Persa Departamental, Pedrero station and the Estadio Monumental, up to Av. Américo Vespucio.

La Florida. On reaching Avenida La Florida the 108 passes the CESFAM La Florida, the Liceo Técnico La Florida and paradero 14 on Av. La Florida, and takes Walker Martínez east. It ends on Avenida Tobalaba, at Terminal María Angélica.

On the way back to Maipú the route is almost the same. The main differences are in the neighbourhoods at either end: in La Florida the return passes along Calle A and the Estación de Buses Macul Poniente bus stop, and in Maipú it takes a few different streets, such as Camino a Melipilla, before reaching Terminal Las Acacias.

Route 108 timetable

According to DTPM’s current operating schedule (October 2026), the 108 runs every day from 05:30 until midnight. On a weekday there are about 110 departures towards La Florida; on Saturday about 84 and on Sunday about 68.

The highest frequency is early on weekday mornings: between 05:30 and 08:00 a bus leaves roughly every 7 minutes towards La Florida, and towards Maipú every 7 minutes between 06:30 and 08:00. For the rest of the weekday the interval is between 8 and 12 minutes; at weekends, between 12 and 16 minutes. After 22:00 it comes every 17 to 24 minutes.

The 108 has a few early-morning departures, only towards La Florida: Monday to Friday, between 01:00 and 05:30, one leaves roughly every 54 minutes, and on Saturday one every 135 minutes. On Sunday, and in the direction of Maipú, there are no departures between midnight and 05:30.

💡 Good to know: the times in the schedule are departures from the terminal. On a two-hour route, the bus reaches the bus stops in the middle quite a bit later, so use the predictor.

How long the 108 takes

According to the operating schedule, the full trip from Terminal Las Acacias to Terminal María Angélica takes about 122 minutes for 33 km, that is, a little over two hours. Av. Departamental makes up a large part of the route, so the real time depends a lot on traffic on that avenue. For partial trips, the App Red trip planner gives you a closer estimate.

Bus stops and Metro connections

The 108 has bus stops at four Metro stations, in both directions: Plaza de Maipú, Cerrillos, Departamental and Pedrero. Between Cerrillos and Pedrero, the 108 lets you travel along Av. Departamental without changing buses. To transfer, tap your bip! within 120 minutes of your first tap.

How to see where the 108 bus is

The App Red, Red Movilidad’s free official app, has a predictor that shows how long until each bus reaches your stop, plus a trip planner for bus and Metro. On red.cl, the “¿Cuándo llega?” option works the same way: type in the bus stop code and you will see the next buses. The code is on the sign at each bus stop and starts with P, a letter and a number.

Fare and tarjeta bip!

The adult bus fare is CLP 795 at any time of day, in force since 22 February 2026. Secondary and higher-education students with a TNE pay CLP 260, primary-school pupils ride free and seniors with a bip! Adulto Mayor card pay CLP 390. You can pay with the tarjeta bip! or with bip!QR from the App Red.

A single payment gives you up to two transfers (three legs) within 120 minutes of your first tap, as long as you do not repeat the same bus route. There is no extra charge between buses; if you combine with the Metro, the total rises to CLP 895 in peak hours and CLP 815 in off-peak hours.

Tips for riding the 108

  • If you are going to the Persa Departamental or the Estadio Monumental from Maipú or Cerrillos, the 108 takes you there without a transfer.
  • For long trips at peak times, consider combining with the Metro at Plaza de Maipú, Departamental or Pedrero.
  • In the early morning there are only departures towards La Florida, and they are very spaced out: check the predictor before you leave.
  • Check your balance on tarjetabip.cl or in the App Red before going to the bus stop.
