How many people ride line 60?

121,687trips on a weekday
72,809trips on a Saturday
45,413trips on a Sunday

It ranks #1 out of 265 national and provincial AMBA bus lines by weekday trips.

Trips paid with a SUBE card, typical (median) value for August–September 2026. Source: Ministry of Transport open data.

Line 60 is the most used colectivo (city bus) in the metro area among national and provincial lines: according to SUBE open data, it recorded about 121,700 trips on a typical weekday in August and September 2026. It is run by Micro Ómnibus Norte S.A. (MONSA) and connects the north of the city with Vicente López, San Isidro, San Fernando, Tigre and Escobar. Its network has changed a lot in recent years: it went from 19 routes to 8 under Resolution 152/2019, and in December 2025 it stopped linking Constitución directly with Tigre. This guide explains how it works today, ramal (branch) by branch.

Bus 60 route in 2026

The easiest way to understand the 60 is to think of one main starting point: Barrancas de Belgrano, at Virrey Vértiz and Sucre. Six of the seven branches leave from there, run up Av. Cabildo to Av. General Paz and then split by destination: Tigre or Escobar, via the motorway or via the riverside avenues.

The seventh is branch A, the only one that still enters the south of the city. It leaves Barracas (Pedro de Luján and Santa María del Buen Aire), runs along Av. Suárez, Gral. Hornos and Pte. Luis Sáenz Peña in the Constitución area, crosses Av. Hipólito Yrigoyen, goes up Junín and Av. Las Heras to Recoleta and continues along Av. Santa Fe and Av. Cabildo. Once in the province it passes the Vicente López Transfer Station, Bartolomé Mitre station in Olivos, Av. Santa Fe and Av. Centenario, and ends in San Isidro, at Primera Junta and Av. Tiscornia. It covers about 31 km.

Bus 60 to Tigre: branches B and E

To get to Tigre, take the 60 at Barrancas de Belgrano or at any stop on Av. Cabildo. The 60B runs via the Autopista Panamericana (stops at Laprida, Manuel Ugarte, Tomás Edison, Av. Márquez and Uruguay) and the Tigre branch of the Acceso Norte, and enters town along Av. Liniers and Santa María de las Conchas to Rincón de Milberg. The 60E, the well-known “60 por Fleming”, leaves the motorway and runs along Av. Sir Alexander Fleming, Av. Rolón, Sobremonte, Almirante Brown and Av. Cazón, the main street of central Tigre. If you are going to the San Isidro riverside or central Tigre, take the E; if you want to reach Rincón de Milberg quickly, take the B.

Bus 60 to Escobar: branches C, D, F and H

Four branches go to the Escobar Bus Terminal (Panamericana and Av. Villanueva). The 60C continues along the Panamericana and Acceso Norte to Ruta 24 and Boulogne Sur Mer, passing Constituyentes, the Mutual neighbourhood and Benavídez. The 60D leaves the city before the motorway via Av. Boulogne Sur Mer and follows a similar route. The 60F is the most “riverside” one: it runs through Vicente López, Olivos, Av. Centenario in San Isidro, San Fernando and central Tigre, and from there takes Ruta 27 towards Benavídez and Escobar. Finally, the 60H is an express service that leaves Plaza Italia, in Palermo, takes Av. Cabildo and the Autopista Panamericana and makes very few stops to Escobar: it is what many passengers look for as the “fast 60”.

💡 Good to know: check the letter on the sign before you board. All 60s share Av. Cabildo, but after General Paz the B and C take the motorway, the E goes along Av. Fleming and the F along the riverside avenues.

What changed in December 2025

Since Friday 26 December 2025, two changes have affected people who used to travel from south to north without getting off. Services that left Barracas or Constitución for Rincón de Milberg now end in San Isidro, at Primera Junta and Tiscornia. And the service that came from Ingeniero Maschwitz via the low-lying riverside area of San Fernando and San Isidro towards Constitución now ends at Barrancas de Belgrano. In practice, to get from Constitución to Tigre you have to change: take the 60A to Av. Cabildo or San Isidro and switch to a 60B or 60E, or change to the Mitre train at Retiro.

With a registered SUBE card, transfers made within two hours may get a Red SUBE discount; current conditions are published on the official SUBE website.

Bus 60 timetable

Historically the 60 was one of the few lines with night service on almost all its routes, but with the branch reorganisation and the 2025 and 2026 adjustments, frequencies have changed and there is no official published timetable per branch. That is why we do not publish exact times for this line. What SUBE data does show is how much it is used each day: about 121,700 trips on a weekday, 72,800 on a Saturday and 45,400 on a Sunday, which indicates that weekend service is considerably lower. For an early-morning or Sunday trip, check the next bus in the BA Cómo Llego app before you leave.

How long bus 60 takes

It depends a lot on the branch. Via the motorway, the 60B covers about 27 km from Barrancas de Belgrano to Rincón de Milberg; via Av. Fleming (60E) it is 29 km, but with many more traffic lights and stops. To Escobar, the regular branches cover more than 45 km and are the longest trips on the line; the 60H express, with few stops via the motorway, is the fastest option. Branch A, from Barracas to San Isidro, crosses the whole city along Av. Las Heras and Av. Santa Fe, where rush-hour traffic matters more than distance.

Main stops and connections

Barrancas de Belgrano is the line’s hub: there you can connect with the Mitre train (Barrancas de Belgrano station) and with many bus lines on Av. Cabildo. At Av. Cabildo and Av. Congreso there is a connection with subte (metro) line D (Congreso de Tucumán station). In Vicente López, the Transfer Station on Av. Maipú and the Metrobus Norte let you switch to other lines heading to the west of the district. In San Isidro, the branch A terminus is a few blocks from the historic centre and San Isidro station on the Mitre line.

Strikes, diversions and complaints

Line 60 often makes the news when the UTA takes industrial action, which usually affects all lines in the AMBA. If you are searching for “línea 60 hoy” or “paro línea 60” (bus 60 today / bus 60 strike), the most reliable sources are the company’s official accounts and the day’s news sites. To complain about frequency, a bus that did not stop or poor service, the official channel is the CNRT: 0800-333-0300 or the form at control.cnrt.gob.ar. Have the line, branch, time and, if possible, the vehicle number to hand.

Tips for riding bus 60

  • If you are coming from the south of the city and going to Tigre, take the 60A and change on Av. Cabildo to a 60B or 60E: there is no longer a direct service.
  • For Escobar, the 60H express from Plaza Italia is the fastest; the 60F is the slowest, but it passes through central San Isidro, San Fernando and Tigre.
  • Use a registered SUBE card: unregistered, you pay double.
  • At weekends there are far fewer services. Allow more waiting time, especially on the branches to Escobar.

Frequently asked questions about line 60

Does bus 60 still go to Tigre?
Yes. Branches B, via the Panamericana and Acceso Norte, and E, via Av. Fleming, reach Rincón de Milberg (Tigre). Both leave Barrancas de Belgrano. Branch A runs from Barracas via Constitución, Av. Las Heras, Av. Santa Fe and Av. Cabildo to Vicente López, Olivos and San Isidro (Primera Junta and Av. Tiscornia). The others leave Barrancas de Belgrano (Virrey Vértiz and Sucre): B and E go to Tigre, and C, D and F to the Escobar Bus Terminal via the Panamericana, Boulogne Sur Mer or Ruta 27. The H is an express from Plaza Italia to Escobar via the motorway.
Which company runs bus 60?

How much does a bus 60 ticket cost?
It is a national line and you pay by distance with SUBE. From October 2026, with a registered card: $742.81 up to 3 km, $861.66 for 3 to 6 km, $1,002.80 for 6 to 12 km, $1,151.36 for 12 to 27 km and $1,337.06 over 27 km. With an unregistered card, double. How do I know if bus 60 is running today or there is a strike?
Strikes are called by the UTA (bus drivers’ union) and announced in the media and on social networks. Before you leave, check the company’s official accounts, the BA Cómo Llego app or the day’s news. If the line stops running without notice, you can complain to the CNRT on 0800-333-0300 or at control.cnrt.gob.ar.
