High temperatures will persist this Monday in ten autonomous communities, where records of up to 40 degrees are expected in the Guadalquivir area.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Andalucía, Aragón, Balearic Islands, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, Community of Madrid, Murcia Region, Navarra, and the Valencian Community will be under heat advisories. Yellow advisories will be issued in all of them, with exceptions in Andalucía and Catalonia, where an orange advisory will be activated in the provinces of Jaén, Córdoba, Sevilla, and Lleida.

Temperatures will exceed 35 degrees in large areas of the southern half, the northeast quadrant, and the archipelagos. Within the provincial capitals, Córdoba is expected to reach 41 degrees, while Jaén, Sevilla, and Zaragoza will remain at 40. Badajoz, Granada, and Lleida will have maximum temperatures of 39 degrees, and Madrid will experience 36 degrees. However, maximum temperatures will drop in the lower Ebro, Catalonia, and Menorca, although they will rise in the Canary Islands, Alborán, and the eastern interior of the peninsula.

In the northern half, minimum temperatures will decrease, with little variation in the rest of the country. Tropical nights are anticipated in the southern half and the northeastern peninsula, with minimums above 20 degrees, and more than 25 degrees on the Mediterranean coasts and in the Canary Islands.

Atmospheric stability is expected to be marked by high pressures, resulting in mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies. However, the Cantabrian area and northern Galicia will have cloudier skies, with a low probability of some drizzles. Additionally, intervals of low cloud cover are forecasted in other parts of the northern peninsula, the Strait, and Alborán, as well as developing clouds in the central, southern, and eastern regions in the afternoon.

Morning fog banks are also anticipated in Galicia and the Cantabrian area, along with coastal mists in the Strait and Alborán. Dust haze will continue to enter the Canary Islands and, to a lesser extent, in the southwest of the peninsula.

Regarding the wind, moderate trade winds are expected in the Canary Islands with strong intervals and very intense gusts in exposed areas. On the Peninsula, a light west component wind will prevail, along with north winds in the Cantabrian area and easterly winds in the Strait and the Mediterranean.
