Argentina continues its participation in the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, with the Argentine team looking to add more medals to its tally after an outstanding day where it secured 21 medals, including nine golds.
The competitions are taking place in Rosario, Santa Fe, and Rafaela, where the variety of disciplines allows Argentine athletes to aspire to a spot on the podium. Today’s scheduled events feature swimming with Cecilia Dieleke and Macarena Ceballos, and artistic gymnastics, which kicks off with the individual finals at the Invencible Arena in Parque Independencia.
In fencing, the preliminary rounds of women’s individual sabre and men’s individual épée will be held at the Salvador Bonilla Stadium. Volleyball and golf competitions will also take place, in addition to the start of shooting sports at the new Shooting Centre in Santa Fe, where Fernanda Russo and Julian Gutierrez, an Olympic finalist in Paris 2024, will compete.
