The Regional Phase of Liga 2 has come to an end after 18 rounds. The competition is now preparing for the Final Phase, where 12 teams will compete for two promotions to Liga 1 in three Championship Groups.

The surviving teams from the First Stage of the Second Division are: Unión Comercio, Carlos A. Mannucci, Deportivo Llacuabamba, Pirata FC, Universidad San Martín, and ADA Jaén in Group A; and Comerciantes FC, Bentín Tacna Heroica, Unión Minas, Sport Huancayo B, Alianza Universidad, and Ayacucho FC in Group B.

Based on their position in the standings, the top two clubs from each group have been selected for the main series of the Final Phase. Thus, Championship Group A will consist of Unión Comercio, Unión Minas, Pirata FC, and Ayacucho FC; Championship Group B will include Comerciantes FC, Deportivo Llacuabamba, Sport Huancayo B, and ADA Jaén; and Championship Group C will feature Carlos A. Mannucci, Bentín Tacna Heroica, Universidad San Martín, and Alianza Universidad.

It is important to highlight that three clubs will start the next phase with a two-point bonus: Unión Comercio (leader of Group A), Comerciantes FC (leader of Group B), and Carlos A. Mannucci (best second place). Additionally, the best third-placed teams, Llacuabamba and Unión Minas, along with the worst second-placed team, Tacna Heroica, will receive an additional point.

The Final Phase will consist of six rounds, with matches scheduled home and away. The leaders of both groups and the second team with the best overall performance will qualify for the semifinals.

The inaugural match schedule includes exciting games such as Ayacucho FC vs. Unión Minas at the Estadio Las Américas and Unión Comercio vs. Pirata FC at the Estadio Carlos Vidaurre García, both set for September 26 and 27.

In the fight for survival, Universitario César Vallejo, Estudiantil CNI, and FC San Marcos, which has withdrawn from the competition, will form one of the groups for the definition, while Santos FC, Academia Cantolao, and Deportivo Binacional will make up another. Deportivo Binacional will start this stage with one point less due to previous sanctions. The last team in each group will be relegated to Liga 3 next season, which could lead to a review of the current format due to the reduction of teams in the competition.
