The Capital Classic between Pumas and América Women not only featured an exciting comeback on the field but also a violent altercation that sparked reactions on social media. During the match held at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, a confrontation between fans and security personnel was reported.

The incident was captured in several videos that began circulating after the match. One of the clips, shared by Eduardo Robles via X, shows two individuals in a physical confrontation with security personnel, one of whom, wearing a blue shirt representing Pumas, is seen attacking a stadium worker.

The situation escalated when another individual, wearing a cap, also assaulted members of the police and civil protection present at the scene. The confrontation lasted several minutes until two people emerged who tried to calm the situation; a woman, identified as “Fabrizio,” approached one of the men to persuade him to keep calm.

Finally, the intervention of the woman and another man succeeded in removing the aggressors from the conflict area and bringing them back to the stands of the stadium. So far, the identities of those involved and the reasons for the confrontation have not been publicly disclosed, and Pumas and Liga MX Femenil have not issued statements regarding possible sanctions or investigations.

On the sports side, América achieved a significant victory, maintaining its position at the top of the tournament, while Pumas, who started the match with a goal from Priscila Chinchilla, could not sustain their lead. Geyse, from América, was key in the comeback with two goals, ensuring that her team remains unbeaten with 18 points from 18 possible in the tournament.

While América celebrated its triumph in the Classic, the altercation in the stands caught attention and became one of the most discussed topics of the day. The expectation now focuses on whether the sports authorities or Club Universidad Nacional will address the events that occurred at the Olímpico Universitario and the possible consequences for the fans involved.
