Juventus and AC Milan to Face Off in a Serie A Classic

Juventus y AC Milan se enfrentarán en un clásico de la Serie A Juventus y AC Milan se enfrentarán en un clásico de la Serie A

Juventus and AC Milan will meet this Sunday, September 6, at 12:45 PM (Central Mexico Time) in Turin, as part of Matchday 3 of Serie A. This clash features two of the most prominent clubs in Italian football.

Historically, Juventus and AC Milan have played 74 matches, with the Vecchia Signora leading the series with 31 victories, while the rossonero team has achieved 21 wins, complemented by 22 draws. In the 2025-2026 season, both teams met twice, resulting in scoreless draws in both matches.

Juventus, which dominated Serie A with a record of nine consecutive titles between 2011 and 2020, has struggled in recent seasons to maintain its position among the best. The club fell out of European spots in several campaigns but improved by finishing last season in sixth place, securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League. For the current season, Juventus has made significant investments by signing Lois Openda, Nick Woltemade, and Jhon Lucumí, aiming to enhance their performance.

On the other hand, AC Milan, which claimed Serie A in 2022, has had inconsistent results in the following seasons, sitting far from the top places and European competitions, which is unusual for such a successful club. Now under the guidance of Rúben Amorim, the rossonero team has signed forward Gonçalo Ramos from PSG in a deal close to €74 million, along with new talents like Omari Hutchinson and Diego Moreira. The team seeks to strengthen its squad and has retained experienced players, such as Samuel Chukwueze and Christian Pulisic, in hopes of turning their fortunes around this season.

The rivalry between Juventus and AC Milan, known as the Derby dei campioni, is one of the most notable in Italy. Juventus boasts an impressive national record with 36 Scudetti, while AC Milan has excelled in international competitions with seven European Cups. This vibrant classic has become a historic benchmark of Italian football.

The match between Juventus and AC Milan will be broadcast in Mexico at 12:45 PM through ESPN and the Disney+ Premium Plan.
