Independiente returned to winning ways by defeating Central Córdoba 1-0 in Santiago del Estero, marking Jadson Viera’s first victory as the club’s manager.
The match took place at the Único Madre de Ciudades stadium, where Independiente displayed a clear offensive attitude from the start, looking to put behind their previous defeat against Gimnasia de Mendoza. Although the Rojo controlled the game in the first half, accumulating seven shots on goal, they could not convert their dominance into a score, with one goal disallowed for offside.
The home team, Central Córdoba, despite arriving at this match without victories in their last three games, managed to create some chances through corner kicks and long-range shots, but could not overcome Independiente’s defense. The situation changed at 57 minutes when Mateo Pérez Curci assisted Leonardo Godoy, who scored the only goal of the match.
