Banco Nación has announced a significant reduction in interest rates for personal loans, benefiting clients who receive their salaries from the institution. This initiative aims to facilitate access to financing in a context of high delinquency.

The reduction in rates varies between 6 and 10 percentage points and is targeted at those users who receive their income through Banco Nación. With this measure, the institution hopes to lower loan installments and enhance its credit offerings for clients.

According to an official statement, the new rate structure allows “for lower installments and increases access to financing.” For example, on a loan of $10.000.000 for 72 months, the initial installment drops from $582.839 to $518.328, representing a difference of $64.511 (an 11.1 percent decrease). Likewise, the minimum required income lowers from $1.665.252 to $1.480.938, maintaining the 11.1 percent reduction.

This rate policy is also aligned with other recent initiatives from Banco Nación, which seeks to offer alternatives for restructuring debts and improving financial conditions for workers and retirees who regularly operate with the bank. Among the measures are options for debt consolidation and refinancing existing loans.

In June, Banco Nación launched a debt reorganization plan to assist those facing delinquency issues. This program covered workers, retirees, pensioners, and micro-enterprises, facilitating debt restructuring and helping clients regain their payment capacity.

The loans offered under this scheme have a repayment period of up to 120 months, and interest rates vary based on the client’s relationship with the institution. Those receiving their salaries at the bank can access a Fixed Annual Nominal Rate (TNA) of 12%, while for other users, the TNA is 14%. Additionally, the bank allows its clients to maintain certain favorable conditions as long as they continue to deposit their income with the institution.

The delinquency situation in the private sector shows an upward trend, with an increase in the credit irregularity rate from 7.63% in June to 7.73% in July. Defaults on loans to households and businesses have also shown a significant rise, underscoring the importance of the measures implemented by Banco Nación.
