The South American Model Institute inaugurated its Book Fair on Monday, which will conclude tomorrow, Friday. This edition aims to encourage reading among students from Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary levels through various activities and meetings with writers.
Throughout the week, the school transformed into a meeting point for writers, storytellers, workshops, and artistic proposals. Early Childhood students enjoyed storytelling sessions led by writer Mónica Virna Cortizas, with activities tailored to each group. In Primary, the agenda included cross-narration with science directed by Lourdes Koppetsch, plastic interventions, presentations of illustrated books, and discussions with authors such as Melisa Linares, Marianela Ramundo, Krysthopher Woods, and Franco Alberti.
In the Secondary level, the Fair offered a contemporary perspective on literature. Braian Íñiguez coordinated a workshop titled “Literature and Artificial Intelligence,” while Virginia Sorsana conducted a scriptwriting workshop. Additionally, students were able to attend meetings with writers and a book presentation by Franco Celma. Writer Mariana Kozodij guided first-year students through a journey of the life and work of Jorge Luis Borges, exploring his connection to reading and writing.
In conclusion, during these days, the South American Model Institute became a space where books, authors, and stories intertwined with the students’ interests, fostering reading as a tool for creation and reflection.
