Alejandra Baigorria rejected any connection with the Chaclacayo pet shelter mentioned in a recent report. The businesswoman clarified that the establishment in question is not the one she supported and that she has not received requests for assistance from the people responsible for the place.

Baigorria’s response comes after images and testimonies from neighbors expressing concerns about the welfare of rescued animals in Chaclacayo were circulated. During the broadcast, several residents criticized the influencer and demanded explanations from Mayor Sergio Baigorria, the businesswoman’s father. In light of this, Baigorria requested an investigation into why her name was associated with the complaint, stating: “We should investigate why they are using my name if I have nothing to do with it.”

Additionally, she questioned whether there could be political interests behind the concerns involving her. “Are they possibly waging a political war and using my name? We need to investigate,” she commented regarding the reported situation. The businesswoman insisted that neither she nor her father have any connection to the activities of the shelter in Chaclacayo, declaring: “Am I a politician? Do I have an obligation to help all the shelters in Lima? No.”

Baigorria explained that her shelter is located in San Martín de Porres and that it already meets the necessary conditions to care for the animals. “What I wanted to clarify is that they are two different shelters. It’s not that I abandoned one shelter or anything like that,” she emphasized. She clarified that she was unaware of the issues referred to in the report, having only learned about them through messages from followers.

The businesswoman also highlighted that she did not receive any prior communication regarding the complaint. “If they had written to me and sent me a document, I would have been happy to respond. But they haven’t sent me anything, they haven’t requested anything,” she stated. Baigorria questioned the lack of prior contact and the fact that her name was linked to the Chaclacayo shelter, suggesting that this could negatively impact her public image.

On her social media, Baigorria responded to a comment from an Instagram user who questioned her about the situation of the animals. In her message, she clarified that the shelter she founded is fully operational and located in Lima, near the Naranjal oval, and encouraged users to check out the videos she published about the place.

The report had highlighted residents’ concerns about the conditions of the Chaclacayo shelter, where even a request was made for Baigorria to visit the site to answer for the situation. The businesswoman, however, reaffirmed that “I have nothing to do with it,” receiving support from her followers.
