She also highlighted the involvement of her goddaughter Isabella, recalling that she was the same age as Jackson when her father passed away, making that recording especially emotional.
As for the song Me and You, Jackson commented that it was conceived as a lullaby, exploring the comfort of her relationship with her father while ignoring the external noise, and also touching on the theme of others’ expectations. She acknowledged that there will always be criticism towards her work and decided that her approach would be to be honest in her artistic expression.
