Magaly Medina discussed Jefferson Farfán’s situation during her program Magaly TV La Firme, following the former footballer’s release of documents related to his judicial compliance. In response, the journalist presented a resolution from the 15th Family Court questioning whether Farfán has complied with a previously imposed psychological therapy requirement.
The host used her program to publicly interrogate Farfán following his recent social media post that included documents about her. Medina noted that while the ex-footballer is concerned about fulfilling his community service, there is a resolution suggesting that he has not verified his attendance at the psychological therapy ordered by the court.
During the broadcast, Medina read parts of the court’s resolution, which is related to a case that also involves Darinka Ramírez, the mother of Farfán’s daughter. The resolution indicates that the court had already scheduled appointments for the ex-footballer to attend therapy, but Medina highlighted that up to that point, it had not been demonstrated that he had attended.
One of the points emphasized by the journalist was that Farfán presented an appointment ticket for a mental health service as proof of compliance, which, according to her, does not validate that he actually attended the therapy. Medina stressed that a simple appointment document is not sufficient to demonstrate that the court order has been fulfilled.
Moreover, the court’s resolution notified that a three-day period was granted for Farfán to verify his attendance at therapy; otherwise, the case will be sent to the Public Ministry. Medina added that the court is in the process of enforcing this order.
In her response to Farfán, Medina turned the question back about her own obligation to attend therapy. She stated that she has been punctual in fulfilling her obligations and questioned the ex-footballer using a nickname she often uses when referring to him: “Did you go to your therapy, yes or no, Pisapaja?” The journalist pointed out that Farfán has criticized others in similar situations, so she deemed it appropriate that he should also be held accountable for his own obligations.
Thus, the case will continue its judicial course, and compliance with the measures set forth is expected to be monitored by the competent authorities.
