A Spanish woman has been arrested in Ceuta as the alleged perpetrator of the homicide of a young Moroccan following an argument inside her home.
National Police officers carried out the arrest this Thursday in the area of Poblado de Regulares. According to police sources, the incident occurred after a dispute between the woman and the victim, who was also the cousin of the arrested woman. During the confrontation, the woman allegedly used a knife to fatally attack the young man.
The police are investigating the context in which the event took place, including the reasons behind the young man’s presence in the woman’s home and his immigration status, as it has been confirmed that he lacked documentation for legal residency in Spain. As for the young man, it is unknown whether he arrived in the country during the wave of migrants in late July. Neighbors have provided testimonies suggesting that there was a family relationship between the two.
The authorities continue their investigation to clarify the details of the incident and determine the circumstances that led to the knife attack.
