Although the price lists for new cars in September have not yet been fully published, the brands that have done so allow us to identify the most economical models in the market. For the first time, no Argentine car appears in the ranking due to price increases by local automakers.
Despite the recent rise of the dollar, an imported car, in its electric version, stands out as the most attractive offer due to its low operating costs. This trend is seen throughout the list, where imported vehicles have not increased their prices, unlike national brands, which have. As a result, Asian cars have gained positions, displacing models that traditionally occupied the top spots.
The most economical car for September is the JMEV Easy 3, imported from China by Grupo Antelo, available at $16,900 or 25,941,500 pesos. Its price has decreased in dollars, allowing it to climb to the first position, surpassing the Renault Kwid, which had dominated the list since its return to the Argentine market.
In second place is the Hyundai HB20 at 27,990,000 pesos, which has improved its position by not applying price increases, unlike national brands. This Brazilian model is considered the cheapest in its segment.
The Renault Kwid now occupies third place at 28,300,000 pesos, after a slight increase in its price. This hatchback has been affected by competition from imported vehicles.
Volkswagen maintains its Polo Robust in fourth place, priced at 30,222,500 pesos, despite a 1.5% increase. The Fiat Mobi, practically unchanged in its price, sits in fifth place at 30,280,000 pesos.
In sixth place is the Chevrolet Onix at 32,782,900 pesos, which also experienced a small increase. The MG3, imported from China in its gasoline version, comes in seventh place with a price of $21,900 or 33,616,500 pesos.
The Kaiyi X3, another new model from China, occupies eighth place at $22,000 or 33,770,000 pesos. The Fiat Argo, now in ninth place at 34,100,000 pesos, has dropped in position due to a price increase.
Finally, the Suzuki Swift Hybrid remains among the ten most affordable at $22,400 or 34,384,000 pesos, being the most economical hybrid vehicle on the market, noted for its Mild-Hybrid technology.
