The Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, has made a visit to the facilities of the Navarre company Veridas in Mexico this Friday. The company is recognized for its leadership in biometric solutions, digital identity verification, and ethical artificial intelligence.
During his visit, the minister toured the offices in Mexico City and was able to closely observe the operations of this company that has emerged from Spain’s innovative ecosystem, ensuring the digital security of millions of citizens and large companies in Latin America and Europe, according to the Government Delegation in Navarre. “Veridas is a clear example of the extraordinary process of digital transformation and technological development that Spain is experiencing. Our country not only develops and innovates but also exports cutting-edge, highly critical, sensitive, and ethically committed technology to such competitive and important markets as Mexico,” López stated.
Currently, Veridas processes more than 50 million identity verifications per year in Mexico, reaching up to 6 million verifications weekly and ensuring compliance with local regulations on money laundering prevention, fraud prevention, extortion combat, and financial security. Among its clients are key telecommunications operators such as Telcel and Altán Redes, as well as financial institutions like BBVA and Santander.
